Ottawa at Night: Nightlife and Night Work Survey
June 1, 2026
Night owls: Have your say in the future of Ottawa’s nightlife governance strategy.
The City of Ottawa Nightlife Office is building a comprehensive Nighttime Strategy, and is seeking night shift workers, business owners and operators, and nightlife enjoyers alike to complete its 2026 survey to better understand the experiences, challenges and needs of those participating in Ottawa’s nighttime landscape.
In collaboration with Deloitte, the conducting of this survey follows the Nightlife Office’s successful completion of the City of Ottawa’s first Nightlife Economy Action Plan (2023-2026). As outlined in the Nightlife Office 2025 Annual Report, there is a need for up-to-date, evidence-based insights on Ottawa’s nightlife activity, including work, services and socio-economic impact to inform future Nightlife Office initiatives and policies.
This survey is for you if you:
- Work at night in a venue, restaurant, theatre or bar;
- Work at night outside the hospitality industry, as a nurse, a taxi/transit driver, construction worker, custodian, etc.
- Own or manage a business or organization involved in any of the above at night.
- Go out at night to clubs, restaurants, theatres and events at night;
The survey will take approximately 15 minutes to complete.
Responses will remain confidential.
The survey is open now until June 22, 2026.
