New Funding Program for Ottawa Bicentennial Tourism Initiatives

Ottawa Tourism has launched the 200th Tourism Animation Fund! This one-time funding program supports innovative and creative tourism projects designed to celebrate Ottawa’s Bicentennial and bolster the city’s reputation as capital with touristic appeal.
Eligible projects include, but are not limited to, installations, performances, and activations to take place between March 1st and December 31st, 2026.
Priority consideration will be given to projects and initiatives that align with at least three (3) of the following areas:
- Arts
- Culture
- Nightlife
- Festivals and pop-up activations
- Outdoor recreation
- Culinary
- Diversity and Inclusion
- Official languages
- Indigenous experiences
Eligible applicants must belong to one (1) of the following groups:
- Ottawa Tourism members
- Indigenous businesses
- Incorporated, for-profit businesses
- Incorporated, not-for-profit businesses
- Registered & and licensed businesses
Additionally, projects and initiatives must reflect Ottawa’s founding as Bytown to be eligible for funding and developed to encourage overnight visitation and visitor spending as well as private sector tourism investment.
Applications are due November 21st, 2025.
